We are thrilled to announce that the state-financed feature film by Michael A. Goorjyan has won the SILVER FIFOG 2023 award at the Feature Film Competition of the International Oriental Film Festival of Geneva. This screening is part of the state jubilee program commemorating the 100th anniversary of Armenian cinema, and the festival celebrated this milestone as a special "Armenian Day" held on June 17.
The National Cinema Center of Armenia extends its congratulations to the film's creative team and wishes them continued success.
Mikael Goorjyan's film tells the touching story of Charlie, who returns to Soviet Armenia to reconnect with his homeland. It explores themes of unconditional love, even in the face of prison bars, and embodies the enduring qualities of patience and hope.
